I will be making my way to York and ECLSTS. I was just thinking, is there anything new in 1:29 since last year's show? Do not include new paint/lettering.
Reminiscing alert>>>> It used to be fun to go see a new product for the first time. Pictures were always a must, as well as first hand impression reports. Those were the days.
AML has that new Gunderson Boxcar...not sure if they have a prototype yet though...GP60, still a dream too?. Aside from that, the newest 1:29 model seems to be the Bachmann Trolley.
USA Trains is currently making a new run of GP38-2 locomotives, I dont believe there are any new road names though, that didnt already exist in previous runs.
They do have a bunch of new road names on the Billboard reefers, about 30 of them..all the paintschemes here:
Being a Buffalo Boy, I might have to pick up an Iroquois while I'm there, although it'll look absolutely wrong on my layout. I might have to do some serious weathering on it, remove the trucks and use it as a storage car. Seems a pity, tho.

Serious memory of childhood, back when Iroquois beer sponsored the Friday night wrerstling on Channel 4. That was real family fun, back when wrestling was a legitimate sport (cough, cough, hack). Once, in my grown-up years, I passed a foot away from Andre the Giant in the Hilton hotel bar. Jeez, he really WAS big!
The new stuff I saw was the live steam Accucraft 4-4-2 unpainted brass loco in the layout room, Piko had a couple of
new cars and engines and Train-Li has some new LGB and Proline rolling stock.
1/29th scale is very much alive and well at THE GAL LINE.
Over the last 6 months 5 new car projects have been released with the latest being the REA 53’ express reefer that can be optionally built as a milk tanker.
The other projects are an PRR FM flat car, PRR FM flat for container service that includes 5 DD1 containers, PRR F-22 flat car, and the DODX 86’ flat car.
These projects are designed with the model craftsman in mind.
