Default Sitg?

Does anyone know what happened to SITG magazine? I cannot contact them by any of the listed phone numbers or email addresses and the website now displays a Security warning message indicating it has been reported as an attack page.

Steam In The Garden's editor Dave Cole recently passed. I'm sure that has them scrambling as well.

Thanks for your continued interest and devotion to Steam in the Garden. In Mid-January our editor Dave Cole succumbed to his reoccurrence of cancer. This was a devastating loss to not only the magazine but our live steam community in general. As Tom mentioned, we have been in a tailspin and have been reorganizing the staff to be able to continue the magazine. Critical to this effort was to gain access to the data that is the essence of Dave's efforts to create the magazine. This was achieved last week by fellow live steamer in the area near Dave, Rob Lenicheck. We at the magazine are eternally grateful for his efforts in this difficult time for Dave's family and have the data in hand.

I have picked up the role as Editor for the magazine and can report that the next issue is in progress. Part of this effort required a transition of Dave's layouts from one desktop publishing software to another, but we are confident that you will see no difference in this transition. Gary Woolard will continue his role as Associate Editor, a role that will help me in maintaining a quality journalistic product.

The other side of our transition is the website. We are in the process of getting the malware issue addressed and will have it resolved prior to the next issue hitting the streets.

We thank you for your patience and will provide updates as we proceed through this difficult time.

As an advertiser in SitG I was saddened to hear of Dave Cole passing.
Sonny Wizelman was recently in touch and assured me of the continued existence of SitG.

With regards to the SitG website. Once the issues are sorted out, I would love to see a forum introduced so that like minded Live Steamers would be able to get together on line at a site devoted to Live Steam.
Best wishes,

There has been a forum on the website since day one of the new owners, but very few seemed to want to use it!
Maybe with all the complaints about MLS these days, more will try it out.
Mind you, I wish that they would simplify it and just have ONE forum instead of all the different categories.

I really miss my copies and am eagerly waiting its return. It's obviously made because of a love of the craft more than anything else.

The forum over there definatly needed streamlining with just a general chat forum and a swap shop forum. It was very lightly used. Thier site needs to become the "go to" place for small scale live steam. Be nice to make it into the be all/end all site for small scale live steam on the net. But I also know that takes a lot of work to set up and keep up to date on the links and information. Wishing the STiG group nothing but the best, we all know Dave would have wanted the magazine to keep growing. Anxiously awaiting my next issue. Mike
