Amen to that. As near as I can tell, the graphics on my "old" EBT hoppers are the same as the "new" EBT hoppers. No wonder they get nicknamed "Botchmann."
I just finished converting 10 of the B'mann 3 bay hopper cars to Kadee body mounted 906 couplers. It takes about 4 cuts to the underframe, and makes the cars look much better. Most people seem to use Kadee offset couplers that make the conversion look very unprototypical. the extra bit of work is very worthwhile, but in any conversion; make sure you make any changes in wheelsets before you convert, or the height of the couplers may be changed. Use the Kadee height gauge, it makes life much easier.
If you want any changed, just send the car/s along with the B'mann LARGE metal wheels, and the 906 couplers to me........I'll gladly convert them for $10 a car, plus return postage !!
.......
If you are doing that, it helps to also move the trucks so they are under the uprights. Bachmann has them a bit far back. It's pretty easy to cut the underframe into two pieces and shorten the ends. Here's a modified one (top) with the un-modified version.
