Default The demise of NorthWest Shortline (NWSL)

Has anyone picked up NWSL's production since they closed in August 2019?
They made a TERRIFIC solid Nickle SIlver wheel that does't rust like the N/S "Plated" Steel wheels do.
I was lucky to get a set of their solid N/S wheels before they stopped production. I'd like to get more for all my cars if anyone else would produce them. In L A I leave all my cars out on the tracks 365 days... rain or shine. Scratch built of brass they can take the weather but plated steel wheels will rust eventually.h

I recently got an email responding to my August inquiry about gears. The website is apparently up and taking orders. https://nwsl.com/

A friend of mine got a set of NS wheels, just before they closed. It took several tries (Aristo tapered axles, always gauge problems), but he got them. (still under gauge)

At that time, they said no more NS wheels, just SS because NS was getting hard to obtain.

I do hope the new owner will reinstate the NS products.

I haven't gone back to look, but I believe there was a post awhile back that someone had purchased the company. Not sure where I saw it.

I heard one of their employees took it over. Good for continuity I guess.

They also physically moved the company location, a while back.

NorthWest Short Line Press Release
For Immediate Release
NorthWest Short Line is pleased to announce that the entire line has been acquired by an NWSL employee, effective September 3rd, 2019. All existing back orders will be filled, and NWSL will be open to new orders as soon as the new websites are rolled out; the primary website nwsl.com will carry forward as the primary contact point. The line is expected to carry forward largely unchanged although the company will no longer offer phone support. NWSL will be headquartered in Kila, Montana, located near Kalispell, and the new address is PO Box 219, Kila, MT 59920. Email contact is through the website.
This appears to be confirmation.
Merry Christmas,
David Leech, Delta, Canada

Yes, it was confirmed 3 months ago ha ha! There's several threads and a search would probably find them.

Interestingly, they have posted the old catalog on the site, big difference between that and what is offered now, very little in G unfortunately.

Even in the old catalog, no mention of replacement gears for climax
