Tank cars are New Brights I modify with MTH trucks. Like the way they look with my 1/32 stuff. Those old ones sit out all the time. Have about a dozen of nicer looking ones in a tote I did out sometimes.
Thanks for sharing Jerry
I am interested in the upgrades that you have done on this engine, I would like to know how to do the same on my Loco.
I also need to upgrade or repair my electronics, The Rc just went haywire.
The RC on mine took on a mind of it's own about a week after I got my engine. I think that was back in 2005? I installed a traditional servo on the throttle and wired the forward/reverse motor into the circuit board of an old servo I put in the tender. I don't remember all the details but it was a pretty easy process and it's still working today. The only other modification on mine was to gut the innards of the gas balancing thing on the back of the fuel tank which made it much easier to fire. I've certainly gotten my moneys worth out of that engine and it remains a very smooth and reliable runner.
