Default NRC 2017 and beyond

Tulsa Convention is history. About a dozen layouts, and visits to the Oklahoma RR Museum and a tourist RR in Arkansas. Nicely done! I had a great time.

2018 is Atlanta, GA.

2019 is Portland, OR.

2020 is ???? No one stepped up. Does that mean no convention? Or only two years to put something together?

Time will tell.

Will you settle for a rumor?

Albuquerque NM has been mentioned but not confirmed.

If you are a pessimist there will not be one, if a positive thinker, some one will host it.

I'm thinking someone will come forward. One way or another, we still have Atlanta in 2018 and Portland in 2019. Make your plans now. Atlanta is accepting reservations and already has quiet a few at this time! Check http://ngrc2018.com/ for details. Here are a few-20+ confirmed layouts, pre & post layout tours, steam and diesel real train rides (3 total), ice cream social at the home of 4-4-0 'General' locomotive of Civil War fame, limited edition by Hartland 4-4-0 locomotive 'General', a full clinic schedule, Dealer hall with club layouts, and many many more things to do on your 'VACATION' to Atlanta. Updates to web page will be coming, so keep checking back!

Make plans to attend the 2019 Convention in Portland. Looks like it might be the last NGRC. We have rented SP 4449 and four cars to shuttle folks to the BBQ. There will only be 800 tickets to the BBQ. Registration opens in September 2018. Those tickets won't last long. Pre layout tours in southern Oregon, post tours in Puget Sound area. We have 32 layouts lined up for the convention tour including one tour up the Columbia Gorge. There will be operating sessions and very detailed clinics. Good times ahead!

Thanks to both for the summaries of the next two conventions. We will certainly try to make them.
And of course NM is one of my favorite places, do hope that works out.

I'm with you Jerry, as I like Albuquerque NM, as it is close to Durango & Chama! Denver usually host about every 5 years, so that time frame is also getting about ready for them. I'm thinking something will happen in 2020.
