The "Non-club", known as "The Ottawa Valley Garden Railroad Society" is getting close to the end of our 2017 season.
Here in Eastern Ontario, Canada, we experience 4 seasons each year, and each is different, and all are enjoyable, each in its own way.
The Summer season is best for overall Out Door LS Model railroading, with sometimes a week or two in May, and a few weeks in October, adding to the fun.
This year, 2017 we have hit the 20 mark, in spite of a rainy start. Yes, we have enjoyed TWENTY (20) Saturday mornings of OPERATIONS.
These operations involve between 1-20 people, every Saturday morning.
No, it's not just operating the railroad: it also includes socializing, and a light lunch, and refreshments. The actual OPERATION of the railroad seems to draw people out to become crew members.
What are we doing wrong...we really want to know...
