Hello all,

New to the forum. Currently living West of Kansas City. Been collecting LGB since the mid 80s. Finally have a semi-permanent place to set them up on my back patio and around the retaining wall. Basically have chosen the D&RGW livery from the late 1800s as the setting. I am still running my old MTS IIS because it is what I have and is good enough for now. I will eventually upgrade but would rather spend the money on buildings and such right now.

Carrying my trains outside each time is a PITA. So I am thinking of building a 12'x3' car storage shed along the side of the house. Anyone have any pics or plans?

Thanks,
Dan

Welcome Dan to MLS.
I am fortunate in being able to have trains run into my workshop, and it is so nice to be able to have a train ready and on the tracks whenever you feel like running.
Hopefully you will be able to work out how to build your storage shed.
All the best,
David Leech, Delta, Canada

Thank you for the links. I am debating the best way to build and waterproof the hinged roof as well. Will also have to think about water entering through the side door.
I will end up painting the shed to match the house. I wanted to build a lean-to but all my utilities enter the house there.
