Insert image still does not go right to your uploaded photos as it used to. I found that a good feature. Many sites you can load right from your computer the message your are writing in the forum, not sure why this site does not have that.

Thank you all for your input.
It would seem to me that there no set way to do this, just whatever works for each individual. Personally I don't think this what we signed up for, I would have expected a set format that would be relatively easy to manage. Hopefully the absentee administration can get on this before someone else introduces a usable site that we all switch to.
I'll have another attempt when I have a few hours to spare.
Thanks again.
Cheers.

What is wrong with the suggestions here? There's more than one way to insert pictures (although I don't know for sure what your specific problem is Harvey).

There's tons of posts on how to insert pictures, a tutorial on it in several places.

Yes, things change over time, but this happens everywhere, software upgrades, changes in the whole forum software, changes in sites that host pictures, interactions with Windows versions, etc.

I just don't get the complaint that "there is no set way to do this". Why not take Chuck's "method" at your "set way" and go from there?

What's wrong with that?

I'm sure you won't like this post, but it's really not rocket science, and maybe just taking a deep breath, and trying just one methodology would work.

There's certainly no shortage of people here willing to help, and that is where the REAL strength of the forum lies, nice, helpful people.

Regards, Greg

Greg,

It seems to me that the complaint about posting is more "why can't I do it the way that was working?" or "I belong to a forum where posting is done this way but it does not work here".

With all the changes that have happened here in the last few years the first complaint is somewhat valid. They just have not noticed that a workable solution has been found. (For some people you have to sit down and hold their hand as you know from you work Ha Ha.) If the site will settle down and develop a consistency it will help, otherwise just be patient.

Thanks for your attempts to help. I know some people appreciate it.

Well, it would seem that Harvey has worked out the 'Photo Gallery' bit, with an album entitled "Rebuild of two CPR GP30's".
Loks very good Harvey, looking forward to the thread about it.
All the best,

Harvey;

Last Forum on the list of Forums: Forum and Site Issues and Questions

Select and open that Forum;

See Thread Titled; http://forums.mylargescale.com/32-fo...s-members.html

The Forum; Forum and Site Issues and Questions should prove very handy reference in the future.

Check out each Forum at least once so you know how vast MLS' topics and knowledge base really is. And don't forget the SEARCH feature. I absolutely depend on it.

;-)

Where in the world, literally, is the MLS Mother Server located? I just edited my post at 3:51 PM PST. But the time mark at the bottom says 10:51 PM.

Yes, I'm too lazy to look up the time zone/location conversion. Besides there's more than one possible place it could be in a time zone.

Jerry, please don't you give up.
I for one am looking forward to more of your modification on the Sterling Single.
As you can see I followed advice from David Leech and did manage to get a link on to the Model Making forum.
Cheers.

Chris,

Doesn't matter where the server is located. The server is working on GMT (standard time at longitude 0 degrees). It is not relevant to actual location.

Hope this helps.
