Default New Masters Class

Any chance of someone putting together another Masters Class? l have looked back over those projects and it would be fun to work through one. Maybe a traditional 4-4-0

Also when I first was lurking around here if I remember right there was a few builders challenges issued? Anything going on in that realm?

That's a pretty cool southwestern style depot. I might have to check out the "dark side" at the other forum just to take part in the challenge.

It seemed like a fun idea.

PS Next month a new challenge will be announced.
TW, I think you are confusing MIK's building challenges with the MLS "master classes"..they are not the same thing.

The MLS Master classes were run by David Fletcher, and they go back to the year 2001.
there were several of them, a 2-6-0 from 2001, the 2002 Mason Bogie masterclass, the CP Huntington class, and some others..
they used to be hosted here on MLS, but they seem to be gone now!

I loved them! although my 2002 Mason Bogie remains unfinished, twelve years later, because I never got the chassis..
that was a bit of a debacle that perhaps killed the masterclass concept..
the masterclasses are still out there, archived..I will look around and post some.

The 2005 C.P. Huntington .pdf files *might* still exist..somewhere..here is an old thread discussing it:

Jackpot!
I think I found them all:

http://www.narrowgaugerails.com/narr...ls-page_44.htm

I havent checked to see if they are complete yet, but they all seem to be there:

MLS Masterclass 2001 - Build a Baldwin 2-6-0
MLS Masterclass 2002 - Build a Mason Bogie
MLS Masterclass 2005 - Build the C.P. Huntington
MLS Coach class 2006 - Build a Carter Brothers combine.
MLS Masterclass 2007 - The Porter Bell & Co. Type C 0-6-0 & 2-6-0

And I think thats all of them..

indeed I did ask about both. The Master classes can be found right here at least some of them I am working off of the 2001 class right now for inspiration on my 2-6-0 build. I will also be doing the Carter coaches.

The challenges were going when I first joined but had to drop out of modeling. When I got back on here that is one of the things I was looking forward to.

When you do, google this site for all the threads. There was one gentleman who made a coach entirely by cutting his own styrene from the PDFs ! Sounds like your kind of model
