David, at the bottom left of every post is an icon of an Exclamation Point on a yellow background, use that to report bad posts. That puts your notice on the post in question and keeps you anonymous.

The icon John mentions is the best way to report spam. It sends an email to all the moderators with a direct link to the specific post in question. That makes it easier on us since we don't have to hunt for it.

Thanks, I hope I will still remember what it is for the next time I see something "phishy."

Nate

Right after your post, I used the exclamation icon on the same Spam. It is the best way to alert the mods.

Nate:

Your enthusiasm is admirable, but directly replying to spam is exactly what the spammers want. They really don't care about your negative comments, but your reply tells them that there is someone there and usually results in more of the same.

It also has some possibility (dependent on what route you used) that your account (name, email address, etc.) is now on their 'alive' list.

My strong suggestion is that you continue to report spam through the forum tools, but refrain from personal communications.

Happy RRing,

Jerry

Nate, spammers are like zombies. You give them personal attention and more will come.
